WHAT TO EXPECT
Each session is different to make it fun and interesting and keep your body guessing. Sessions are focussed on building strength through body weight exercises or using a variety of pieces of kit. We also do interval or HIIT training with a mix of aerobic exercises to increase stamina and endurance.

But please don’t be put off by those scary words … Its really as simple as performing exercises at a level that will increase your heart rate intermittently.

Each session includes exercises to target your core and glutes and we always end with some Yoga / Pilates inspired stretches to maintain your flexibility and help to prevent injury.

Some weeks we may include some partner exercises, or team challenges for a bit of fun, but rest assured, nobody gets left behind in these sessions are we are all there to cheer each other on and give kudos for showing up and getting it done!

Feel free to bring along a coffee for afterwards and enjoy a drink and a chat at the end if you have time!
When you train outside you are not constricted by space like you are in the gym, blasted with air con, busy machines or often broken kit! With our sessions you get to enjoy the fresh air, harbour views, experience the elements that mother nature decides to bless us with each day, and a great bunch of people to train with! Getting active outdoors at the beginning of the day has been proven to positively impact mood, cognitive function and mental health.

A Few FACTS:
* Being active in nature can lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) by up to 16%, according to studies.
* When you exercise outside you burn more calories as your body works harder to stay warm - up to 30% more than in warmer conditions.
* Exposure to fresh air for just 15 minutes can improve brain function by increasing oxygen supply by up to 10%.
* Vitamin D boosts serotonin, which is essential for mood regulation and can help prevent seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
* Group outdoor activities can increase adherence to fitness routines by 90%, as you are more likely to stick with it when others are involved.
The Benefits of
Outdoor Exercise
Fitness for Everyone
Our Outdoor sessions are designed to suit everyone, whatever your level of fitness or physical ability.
Sessions are planned in a way that work for everyone, so nobody gets left behind. We demonstrate each exercise with adaptations to make it easier for beginners to the more experienced, so you can challenge yourself and progress each week with our expert guidance.

Everyone will have their own personal goals or challenges, whether its weight loss, getting stronger, building functional strength, getting faster, or maybe you just love exercise and being outdoors and training with your friends!

Our aim is that you have fun with fitness, achieve a stronger, healthier body and come away from each session feeling energised, and ready for each day having completed an amazing physical workout.

Whatever your fitness goal, we’ve got you covered to get in the best shape of your life!
Joining any new group for fitness group can be nerve wracking and knowing what to wear when you are outdoors with our British weather is always a guessing game, so it’s best to come prepared.

In the summer months, shorts and vest or T shirt are absolutely fine and it’s a good idea to bring jogging bottoms or a hoodie for warm up or after the session. Sunscreen and a hat are advisable on the days that we do get a proper British Summer!

In colder weather its best to layer up. Bring hats and gloves if you need them. Long sleeves and thermals when we get a cold snap. You know how your body manages with the cold, so come prepared!

It’s a good idea to keep a few bits of kit in the car, just in case but exercising outdoors can be truly invigorating, so embrace the elements … skin is waterproof!
